Bursaries for Every Needy Student in Migori
When I was MP for Rongo, we supported 1,200 students annually. As Governor, I will scale that to every ward in Migori County.
When I was MP for Rongo, my office supported 1,200 needy students every year with bursaries to secondary schools, TVET colleges, and universities. We prioritised orphans, students from single-parent homes, and those from wards with the highest poverty rates.
As Governor, I will scale this to every ward in Migori County through a transparent, ward-level bursary committee — not the opaque patronage system that has plagued bursary distribution for too long.
My pledge: every bright, needy Migori student who qualifies for tertiary education will receive support — through a County Bursary Fund administered transparently, with public lists of beneficiaries and amounts.
